Hooray for Interns!
We love our interns!One of the reasons Avalon has been able to be a part of so many journeys can be attributed to our generous Williamsburg community. As Avalon runs on minimal overhead costs, we rely heavily on our volunteers and interns. We are so grateful for the hard work that both our volunteers and interns do to help us to continue to stay committed to our mission.
Sadly, many of our interns' time with us is coming to an end. The staff at Avalon wanted to do something special to show our gratitude to our interns. We decided to make a "Finals Week Survival Basket" for each of our interns. Staff members donated goodies that would either help relieve stress or provide nourishment during the interns' upcoming finals week. Items included in the baskets included microwavable popcorn, bath salts, body spray, Rice Krispie treats, granola bars, juice, 100 calorie packs of snacks (a favorite amongst our staff), as well as some gift certificates and discount coupons for fabulous Williamsburg vendors.
